In celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2023 themed "United in action to rescue and achieve the SDGs for, with and by persons with disabilities", Tala Almarshoud (OT student at Batterjee Medical College) developed this innovative self-designed Wheelchair Footrest Bumper to reduce the overall impact forces conveyed by a collision impact to protect your wheelchair footplate from damage and pedestrians from injury by absorbing the force of the collision.
