OT for children with special needs

OT help clients participate in their daily occupations by providing occupation-based intervention. Children’s occupations enable them to acquire life skills and attain happiness and growth, including ADL, education and play. ADLs such as dressing and grooming are paramount for children’s development and independence. Education is a significant occupation for children with SEN, reading and writing are important. Playing can help them integrate with society by improving creativity and coordination. Paediatric OT facilitates children learning life skills through play-based intervention, improving children’s participation and engagement in their daily roles.
